Book Winers

Last year, after I had been diagnosed with breast cancer, I told my neighbor Penny about it. Weeks later, right before Christmas Penny came over and brought me a beautiful gift basket of pink goodies. Instead of exchanging Christmas gifts her book club, The Book Winers, embrace people in need.
Penny also told me that her book club walks every year in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. She invited me to walk with her group the following October.

Today I embraced that invitation!
