Snow Puddles

Kamryn and I picked up Samantha from Somerset Presbyterian Preschool on Friday! (seems every other day poor Sam has a snow day -she doesn't want them. She loves Preschool.
The snow piles are getting higher than the girls and we have another storm headed toward us on Tuesday.

Kamryn and I love picking Sam up from school!

Snow, snow go away! Come again another day!

Angela Cooper I Need You!

Yup! Computer is not uploading Pictures for me. That's what I live for....it's my LIFE. What will this blog become if I cannot upload pictures? It will become just the wild ramblings of a woman stuck in her house with her huisband for all time! Where will be the Magic? What will dazzle your eyes?Basically, how will you know about me and save me?  Where will the Magical ending be? Did I leave all that behind in Disney? I am trapped in the tower of Computer Crap! Help me get oooooout!

The Snowblower

I depend on it! I will certainly need it in the morning to help remove the 14 inches of snow that will have fallen. But I can't depend on it. It stopped running today when I needed it. I had to shovel. The piles are getting so high that I don't know if I will be able to throw the snow that high. I was angry, very angry. Angry that I was out there shoveling by myself.; Angry that Doug is unable (not unwilling) to help: Angry that this will be my life, now.I understand that this is completely out of our control- the disability and the weather but,Shouldn't we have prepared for what we could control. Doug is not dead, he can call and pay a little extra to get someone to pickup and service the snow blower. He watches me struggle with it and then has the audacity to open a window, stick his head out and tell me what I am doing wrong. How about, "Patty, come in, you are going to hurt yourself trying to get that machine to work." " Let's find a better way to do this."
He seems to be self absorbed with what he can't do and doesn't think about all that I now have to do.
He sets me off! I overreact ! I am so angry!

Politics

I listened to President Obama's State of The Union Address. It was an excellent speech. I also listened to the Republican Response. That was also an excellent rebuttal. Now we just need everyone to work together and find a government that will work in this new century. My personal philosophy is : if you are in a traffic jam, just keep moving, even if it is in the wrong direction. Eventually you will get home!

Persistance!

I have been to Best Buy. I have returned a bad card reader and got a new one free. I have deleted some programs. I have defragged. I have emptied the trash. I have reinstalled Canon Utilities Zoom Browser. I have googled Memory Card Utility has stopped working. I have plugged card reader into another hole. I have clicked on icons aqnd TA DAh! I  (maybe) fixed the problem (all by myself) (maybe!).

So here is Friday's picture:
I was playing with depth of field...using my 50mm fixed lens.
Why is the sky always so blue after a storm?
Close up of deck railing with little drifts of snow with Park in the background.

You have no idea how stressed I was because I couldn't upload pictures. I can breathe again!

Blah!

I'm frustrated! Can't seem to load new pictures onto my computer so that I can add them to my Blog. I have done nothing differently....It makes me MAD! So , I am letting it go for tonight. I will deal with the problem in the morning. I pulled my 50mm 1:1.8 fixed lens out, put it on my camera and snapped about 20 random pictures. Some were snow, sky or just stuff with sunlight shining on it.
Samantha was the only one who came today. She asked for cinnamon toast for breakfast (even though Mom had brought pancakes). We later picked Emilie up from work, went to Friendly's for comfort food - grilled cheese and fries. Then we went to Toys R Us to get Sam a Fischer Price iXL. Samantha calls it her ipad. It is technology for kids- she is good at it and loves doing it. It has a lot of learning activities. Got home  (after dropping Em back at work) and helped Sam play on the big computer. Samantha must be going through a growth spurt- she then asked for and ate her pancakes from the morning and a bowl of cold corn and peas. She went home with her Dad and I went upstairs at 5pm to take a nap. (Did I forget to mention that I cleaned off two cars and used the snowblower on two driveways and sidewalks and forgot to eat breakfast?)

Marshmallows and Make Believe

Most of us can remember making sheet tents and using flashlights to go camping, especially in the winter. That is exactly how we spent yesterday!
We played for more than an hour. We had music, mini marshmallows, a big, spooky dog, a GP monster, and games to keep us occupied. (Grandma could pretend she was sleeping most of the time....Ha, ha!)

It's Snowing!

Not Enough vs Too Much

It is either famine or flood - either I don't have a picture of the day  OR I have ten! There seems to be no in between!  What's a scrapbooker to do?
Such drama and enthusiasm as Kamryn performs for her Grandparents.
This drawing, done by Samantha, is a "happy face". His name is "Oscar".
A little known fact.......I have a thing for primitive drawings of faces and people. I love the first creatures that evolve from two and three year olds!
Sam and I have been lusting after Kamryn's Christmas gift.......an IXL  from Fisher Price. Sam calls it Kamryn's I pad. So Emilie brought two leapfrog toys (electronic) today. Sam and I are now deeply concentrating on some very hard computer games.

Tough week

The days are a blur. somewhere at the beginning of the week Doug became very quiet. At first I didn't notice. When I finally went in search of him, I found him sitting in his chair
five minutes later he was throwing up into a garbage can. OH, NO! The flu! That night I was up every hour with a stomach ache thinking that I was going to throw up. (sympathy pains?) I don't think so. I have never had sympathy pains wake me up before. I have been "ill" for two days: aches, pains, headache and that funny feeling in the pit of your stomach.
It wasn't pretty! But I never threw up This is the first time all week that I had an interest in doing anything........I'm getting better, Yeah!

Kamryn's Christmas

She was so excited. She would unwrap a gift , look at it real quick, then toss it down and unwrap another.
Santa Claus brought Kamryn a kitchen. Everyone else bought her pots and pans, cupcakes and BBQ.

Can you even tell that Robyn is pregnant?
Check out her pile of loot!
Here GP! This is for you!
Merry Christmas Kamryn. Grandma and GP Love you!
