The Night Before The Night Before The New Year

I usually get very reflective around this time of year, not so much this year. I plan to enter the new year with the "Be Happy With What You Have" philosophy. I have chosen my WORD for 2011-BALANCE, which I hope to achieve. I have ordered my new project Life kit (in fact I ordered both kitrs, one turquoise and one Amber) and am anxiously awaiting their arrival. I am excited about my photography and hope to greatly improve my skills this year. I continue to adore my Granddaughters and am just as anxious to meet my new Grandson (I am also eagerly praying and waiting for my surrogate granddaughter, The new Cooper Baby, to make her appearance.)  All in all, I think I am going into the new year with optimism, at least with the knowledge that I should be able to handle whatever life throws at me.
Wishing you peace and harmony in the coming New Year!

Classic DB

It must be hard not to be outside where all the action is; to do the things that he used to do. So, DB opens the window, sticks his head out and says "Not to tell you what to do.......but if you.........."  You just gotta love him and thank him for the idea! Wish you were out here with usa DB!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Caroline took this artistic picture of the weber grills on the deck at 10:30pm.

Half Of Christmas was missing

Last Thursday we went grocery shopping for Christmas Eve. By Thursday evening Kamryn was throwing up! So we only had half of our Christmas. (We hope to get together with them on New Year's Day)
So, Samantha had undivided attention opening her presents.

Make sure you click on this picture to enlarge it so you can read the great t-shirt I got Doug!
My sister Christine, her husband Charlie,Doug, seated, Matthew behind him and Kyle and Chase on the sofa.

We should all be this happy when we open a pair of pajamas! Merry Christmas Dad!

Here I am thanking my dear husband for my GREAT Christmas present.....A Canon Flash Unit! Love you DB!
Stay Tuned for part 2 of the Rex Family Christmas pictures featuring Kamryn and her parents!

Last minute preparations

I am taking a break from making potato and macaroni salads, brownies, and cupcakes for our Christmas Eve (picnic?) celebration. We decided that we need to keep it simple. My children and their children will arrive around 2pm. My sister, brother-in-law and nephews will bring my Father around 4:30pm. Doing this in shifts should make this all go smoother.(stay tune for an after holiday report- you know! News at Eleven! :)
Got my new c-pap machine today (for sleep apnea aka snoring), ordered three Project Life Kits from Amazon (one is Emilie's) babysat both granddaughters, went shopping with Caroline, DB and the girls and ate about 25 small tootsie rolls with three coke zero's. Not bad for a day's work.
All in all it was a good day. Hope you all had one too.
Wishing you the best of holidays, Merry Christmas!

Now What?

If I wrote this stuff you wouldn't believe it!
Caroline's car was just sitting there....parked. The van that picks up the child across the street backed into Caro's car. Couldn't get the driver's side door open and her rear view mirror was almost ripped off.

As upset as Caroline was, she still had time to notice how nice the police officer's eyes were :)

Now another Rex car will be out of commission for at least the next month ! You just can't make this stuff up!

Just Wonderful!

She came out, waved, turned toward the audience and sang her little heart out. Grandma was so proud!
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Meet my new Grandson

This is a 4D ultrasound picture of baby boy Rex at 20 weeks. Isn't this picture incredible? Some of them were not identifiable but this one.....
If you want to see any of my blog pictures in greater detail just click on picture.

I learned something new today!

I was checking Becky Higgins Blog to see when the project Life Album kits would be available when I saw that I could add a Project Life Link or gadget to my blog. Ok, So now how to do it? I left site, read some e-mails and then headed back to try again. It took me 45 minutes, but I did it all by myself.

This will be my third Project Life/365 Day Album that I have completed. It involves taking a photograph of an ordinary daily event and recording your memories, similar to a monthly or daily calendar. Absolutely love this kit. It is short , sweet and fits in nicely with babysitting my grandchildren.

Magical Memories

Look at that happy face! Samantha had a wonderful time at Mickey's House! Grandma was so lucky to be invited to go along!
Notice my happy face! Actually I was so thrilled that Samantha wanted to go on the roller coaster ride with me that......I actually said yes! Did I mention that I am terrified of roller coasters?

The weather was great, in the 80's the first two days then cooling off each day until it was in the 40's.

Grandma took over 600 pictures (after she had deleted all of the bad ones). Emilie has uploaded over 600 to Costco and that's only for the first three days aaaaaaaaAND we bought a Disney Park Photo Pass CD that had over 180 professional portraits of all of us through out the different Parks.

Ok! Who wants to go back again next year?
