Here We Go Again!

That title has some significance beyond the snow. Doug uses it all the time. Everytime he thinks he is being harassed by us. Everytime we say he's mistaken. Everytime he doesn't want to listen to us, He effectively uses this phrase to Stop the conversation. So, it is with great pleasure that I ,Pat Rex get to use the beloved phrase, if only for the weather..........Here we go again!

Obsessed with......... weather reports

Apparently, my obsession with weather reports indicates that I have reached OLD AGE! I listen,I prepare, I plan for the worst and when the worst doesn't happen........I listen for the next big weather event! I think that I am going to hunker down, snuggle under the covers, read books, drink hot chocolate and just look out at the beauty and fury of nature. In reality, I put on three layers of clothing, a pair of boots and start shoveling and snowblowing to clear a path so I can get the car out. But I really don't want to go anywhere. It is a viscious cycle!

No, really I mean Weeeeeeeee! Caroline and I played for two hours straight on her new Wii yesterday. We made a me wii and I saw Caroline's wii and Diego's wii :) My wii age was 60 which is just two years more than I really am, but ......it said I was obese! Can you imagine that? I weigh 180 pounds and wii says my goal is 119 pounds. What would I look like at 119 pounds? We can only imagine and then take pictures if I ever get there. The good news is that I actually beat Caroline at some of the games. Then she would beat me and....you see how the morning went! Oh, you want to see Caroline and Diego's wii? Sweet.See! You can get more than exercise and weight loss from your wii!

A whole bottle

Ok! Let's see exactly how drunk I am? Just had an entire bottle of Yago Sangria! Drank the whole bottle all by myself. OK, so the alcahol content isn't that high, but I have had my yearly total in one night.
Doug and Diego took Caroline and I out to dinner in Somerville to Hibachi Yutaka for a Valentine's Day surprise! Plus  a dozen roses and one peach rose for luck! I must say that I deserve everything I got!. I stick by my man, I shovel snow, cook, clean up,babysit my sweet grandaughters! I am great! I will post pictures of this adventure in the morning! You should see them squirting saki into my mouth! Whoo Hoo! Please list all of the misspelled words and I will correct them in the morning!

We have just come in from our second shovel event of the day! We haven't had a snowstorm like this in at least ten years! Isn't it great! Everything is so pretty. (The bamboo has collapsed under the weight of the snow :) ) We figure we might have to shovel and snowblow one more time tonight!

The Snowman

Took both of the girls out into the snow today with minimal snow gear. They could move and it was almost balmy outside so....first I put them to work shoveling and sweeping , then we made a snowman! Kamryn was fine as long as we only played with snow balls and twigs but when we put on eyeballs, a carrot nose, a mouth and a hat, it looked all too real to her.She would not turn her back to it nor get closer to it! Pretty Funny!

Groundhog Day!
