Doug and I left home around 8:15am this morning to take Don, my father-in-law's remaining ashes to Island Beach State Park in New Jersey. Today is the one year anniversary of his passing. Most of Don is buried in Florida, next to Doug's Mother, Jean. So we don't have a gravesite to visit - just the beach, Doug's favorite place. Chase the poodle was with us and had a great time running around. Doug drank a beer in salute to his father, we watched until all of the ashes had been taken into the sea and then in the rain, trudged back to our car.
