Long story short......Emilie was in the hospital for five days. They could not operate on her because her pancreas was inflamed and her liver enzymes were high. On Sunday, February 19th (the 15th anniversary of my mother's death) The doctors removed Emilie's gall bladder and appendix laproscopically. She was home, recovering Monday afternoon. While in the hospital she could not eat or drink and she lost 10 pounds. I stayed with Samantha at their house for those five days.She has not driven yet and she goes back to the doctor this week for follow up, but it seems that she is on the road to recovery.
