You can't take pictures when you are holding a sick baby. You could but you just don't think to do it.You are focused on keeping him comfortable, warm and snugglie , next to you. You watch him carefully. You want to make sure he is breathing ok, that he is getting enough liquids and solids, that he is not miserable. Kellen is working on getting all of his front, upper teeth and they are causing havoc with his little body. He has thrush , a common yeast infection, in his mouth and after a doctor visit yesterday - a double ear infection (and yet this baby still manages to smile at us). Did I mention his mucousy cough. It sounds like he is coughing up a lung.
Samantha came to visit me after preschool with Emilie. She walked in and said she was cold. Emilie wrapped them in a blanket until Sam said she was warm. She made faces at Kellen and tried to get him to smile and laugh (not an easy job, yesterday). Then she and Emilie went home for lunch and to let Oscar out. Emilie texted me about an hour later saying Samantha had a low grade temperature and was sleeping on the couch. No diagnosis yet.
And so Grandma Infirmary is resurrected for another season!
